Big Boi Announces His Own Atlanta Music Festival, KryptoniteFest
Unless you’ve been under a rock for a while, you know that music festivals are awesome. You get to congregate with others and check out some of the biggest acts making chunes out there. As you may be aware, a number of rappers/producers-- like Jay-Z, The Roots, Lil Wayne, Tyler the Creator, J. Cole, Pharrell and more-- have launched their own music festivals. Today, Big Boi announced his own festival, KryptoniteFest.
Outkast’s flyer half has a small-yet-substantial lineup ready to go for April 18 at the Cadence Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park in Atlanta. Big Boi took to Instagram to announce the festival saying, “I’ve been waiting so long to have my very own festival. To have it in my city is a dream come true and we can’t wait to share this family affair with you. Much love from the bottom of my heart.”
Gracing the ATL stage will be Big Boi himself, Dungeon Family members Goodie Mob, Earthgang and Kneel’n Ray. Details about the event are still sparse at the time being since it was just announced, but knowing Big Boi’s track record with artistry and curating great vibes, KryptoniteFest will surely be one of the hottest tickets available this Spring. I know if I was in the Atlanta area, I’d be down to go and commune with fellow Kast fans.
Tickets are available for presale at www.kryptonitefest.com. Use the code “Kryptonite” to get early access. You might want to shake a leg because a Big Boi event in the ATL is sure to sell out.
