"Can I Borrow Feeling" x Kirk Van Houten (from The Simpsons) Cassette Tapes Available
OK. Got a quick one. I came across this and found it absolutely hilarious.
If you know me, I was a huge fan of The Simpsons growing up. Though I fell off with the show, it will always hold a special place in my heart. My personal humor is heavily influenced by the residents of Springfield, Oregon, and I still laugh at reruns like I’ve never seen them before.
I was scrolling Instagram and this popped up on my screen:
A real, live cassette of Kirk Van Houten’s legendary track “Can I Borrow A Feeling?” It is being sold by “The Simpsons Man” and it’s funny as Hell to me. This was one of the lowest moments of Milhouse’s pitiful dad’s pitiful life. Alas, the cassette is blank (what would you play it on anyway?), but having this piece would definitely be up amateur collectors’ allies like mine. At $10, I’ll grab or two of these limited edition pieces. I know that every time I glance at it, I’ll get a little chuckle in. That moment was just too funny (if you haven’t clicked on the video at the top, please do so).
In addition to the 1999 love anthem, The Simpsons Man also sells real “I Choo Choo Choose You” cards as well as the Simpson’s sailboat painting, pins, stickers, toys and more. Of course, he offers the following disclaimer:
All of my work is my original artwork or collabs with different artists. This is in no way related to any official merchandise from Disney (Fox) or any other studios. Just me!
